Least Favorite WOD: Kelly
Favorite Lift: Snatch
Least Favorite Lift: Good Morning
Favorite Quote: “Our workouts are competitive events. The strength and value of CrossFit lies entirely within our dominance of other athletes. This is a truth divined through competition, not debate.” ~Coach Glassman
Bryan envisioned a “Box” the moment he was first dosed with a CrossFit WOD. The appeal of hard work in a short amount time that directly impacted his fitness was exactly what he had been searching for. Mountain Biking, CycloCross, Rock Climbing, Trail Running and Backcountry enthusiasm required programming that most fitness programs couldn’t deliver. Training to run distance in altitude or ride a bike offered the Long Slow Distance domain, but left him vulnerable to strength domains. Carrying large loads for distance quickly became a “Chink” in his armor. That was until CrossFit. The Love of Mountain Triathlons required hours and hours of riding and running, the method was scrapped and quickly turned to training the “Benchmark Girls” and Deadlift’s. CrossFit is hard work it takes you past that comfort level that most of the American public has been grown accustom to. CrossFit forges those you are willing enough to make the decision that they will no longer take the easy road.

Favorite quote: "Represent your genuine interests and be real to yourself, and do what you love to do, and do it well!" ~Cecil Johns
Kevin was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and began playing soccer at age 8 and started riding BMX at age 9. It wasn't until he started racing BMX (bicycle motocross) at age 15 that he became more interested in training. After a stint in the U.S. Navy from 1984-1987 he continued racing BMX and mountain bikes and played soccer for many years, accumulating considerable knowledge in training techniques, but credits one person in particular for elevating his knowledge of fitness. "Cecil Johns taught me what I really needed to know about training, which parallels the CrossFit principles very closely. This is why I began CrossFitting!"
Married with one son, at age 45, he credits CrossFit for allowing him to continue excelling as an athlete and looks forward to competing in the 2012 CrossFit Games in the Masters Division. He has also traveled internationally with the U.S. Olympic BMX team as massage therapist.

Favorite Quote: (Any quote by Mark Rippetoe)
Most of the problems with the bodies and minds occupying the current culture involve an unwillingness to do anything hard, or anything they'd rather not do. I applaud your resolve and welcome you to the community of people who have decided that EASY will no longer suffice! ~Mark Rippetoe

He continued to play basketball, baseball and volleyball in high school and carried his basketball career into college after being selected to the California Junior Nationals team for basketball and Northern California Junior Olympics team for volleyball. Justin believes that no one truly understands what CrossFit can do for them until they give it a shot. It can and will positively change your life. It enriches your life so much that you’ll find yourself doing things outside of the gym, in your everyday life, that you never could have done or wouldn’t have even considered doing before. So, all that he asks is that you give it a try. Make a minimal commitment just to see where it takes you. Take full advantage of these opportunities!

Favorite quote: If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it’ll spread into your work and into life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you most not stay there, you must go beyond them. ~Bruce Lee
I have been doing CrossFit since July of 2008, and was hooked from the very first WOD. I received my CrossFit level 1 Certification on March 15, 2009. Being a trainer is such a rewarding job! I love helping people become healthier and extend their lives. I am currently going to school for Excercise Physiology. Along with my level Crossfit Level 1, I am certified in Crossfit Football, Mobility and Recovery, and am a USA Weightlifting level 1 coach. I am currently focusing on the Olympic Lifts (Snatch and Clean & Jerk) and enjoy competing in Weightlifting Meets.

Least Favorite: Annie
Favorite Lift: Clean & Jerk
Least Favorite Lift: Front Squat
Favorite quote: "Don't paint a dirty car" -Coach Glassman
Terah has always enjoyed being active and working out but prior to CrossFit fell victim to the "globo-gym" mentality. Her friend and co-worker Bryan told her about CrossFit back in the spring of 2008. Once Terah tried it she was hooked and loved every aspect of the program. She met her husband Victor Dowell through CrossFit and they had Baby Sage on November 15, 2009. After Terah had Sage she decided to turn CrossFit into a career and share her love of fitness with others, while promoting a fitness based lifestyle to her family and friends. After competing in the 2010 Nor-Cal Sectional she completed her Level I CrossFit certification and is excited to reach her potential.
