Member Of The Month
Gary started at CFR 2.0 he has been a great addition to CrossFit Redding. He is always positive, even on burpee days. Gary cheers for the person struggling to finish. We enjoy him in the classes because he is here for business; often times it’s a lunch break workout so there is little time for lollygagging. We chose Gary for Member of the Month because of his enthusiasm and willingness to do the sucky WOD’s with little complaint. Sometimes it’s easy to complain that your favorite movement isn’t programmed. But no one has ever succeeded in choosing the easy way.

How long have you been a member? I believe in October it will be 5 years
Why CrossFit Redding? As far as CrossFit goes it pushes you past your comfort zone and when you face adversity in life it’s good to know you can push yourself beyond your limits and come out on top. Why CrossFit Redding because the atmosphere is competitive but in the end it feels like everyone is there to help push each other. For the most part everyone leaves there ego’s/attitude’s at home unlike some other gyms.
What’s your favorite WOD or movement? I would say Push Press
What advice do you have for new members? Stick with it. It can become very uncomfortable with the soreness and learning the movements but with time it gets better. If you have questions don’t be afraid to ask.
